Ultrashield Technical Information Ultrashield Solar Inserts are the result of our continued research and development. Our goal has been to develop and provide the consumer with the most advanced and innovative solar insert on the market today. We believe we have achieved this in the Ultrashield Solar Insert. Ultrashield solar inserts are manufactured using only the highest quality Biaxially Oriented PET film, combined with the latest sputtering metallization techniques. Sputter coating provides a superior even coating of aluminum particles by embedding them one atom at a time in a precise and controlled manner into the polyester film.
